Our Story

The Well Wagon began in a local primary school over 5 years ago, grounded in the belief that wellbeing is essential for children to learn, grow, and thrive. What started as a simple initiative to bring positive psychology and mindfulness into busy school environments quickly became a dedicated approach to nurturing mental health in everyday learning.

In its early days, The Well Wagon was just that, a wagon filled with creative tools, sensory resources, and much loved animal mascots that helped children explore emotions, build self-awareness, and feel a sense of connection and belonging. These small, meaningful moments laid the foundation for a program centred on kindness, resilience, and self-compassion values that continue to guide every session today.

Now, The Well Wagon extends beyond school gates into the wider community, delivering engaging wellbeing workshops that empower children to build strong minds, soft hearts, and lifelong tools for navigating the world around them.

Hear what others have to say

Zena’s wellbeing workshop is truly engaging and an enriching experience for students. She create a safe and supportive environment where children feel confident to express themselves freely and explore their creativity and uniqueness. Zena’s calm and nurturing approach allows every child to feel seen and valued, while gently guiding them through important life lessons. Her ability to connect with students and celebrate their individuality makes her workshops both meaningful and memorable.

This wellbeing and mindfulness class is a fantastic experience for primary students. Combining drumming with practical self-regulation strategies, it keeps children engaged while helping them build confidence and emotional awareness. The sessions are both fun and meaningful, giving kids tools they can use every day. I would highly recommend this program to any  parent looking to support children’s wellbeing in a creative and impactful way.

The wellbeing sessions that Zena  led at our school have made a lasting impact on our students. We saw measurable improvement in resilience, confidence and strengthened teamwork, while giving students simple evidence informed strategies to handle challenges and support their wellbeing.

Zena has such a lovely presence and warmth that kids immediately feel comfortable with her. She never talks down to them but rather, makes them feel as if they are chatting with a kind friend. She has taught my kids so many amazing things about how to understand and support their own wellbeing and how to strengthen and improve their resilience.
